Why are we building $Earth

We strongly believe that climate/ecological crisis is a symptom of a deeper underlying problem. Our neoliberal inspired socio economic structures are inherently designed to -

• Prefer short term gains for long term sustainibility

• Reward extractive business models over regenerative

• Have us perpetually addicted to toxic economic growth

• Externalize negativities while not rewarding positive externalities

• Promote material growth over well being

As our advisor Einstein says - One simply cannot address climate change from the same system that created it. We set out to imagine what does a system that is inherently designed to tackle this crisis look like.

That journey down the rabbit hole ended at a point where it was clear that the petro dollar mechanics that resulted in the creation of this crisis will never be able to holistically address this, superficially maybe. This understanding coupled with the ability of programming values into money/currency was our greenpilled Eureka moment, the moment when the symbiosis of climate action and crypto seamlessly integrated to form $Earth

The fact that you could design your own monetary system on a permissionless, transparent, immutable, borderless ledger turned out to most unexpected bullet in the climate action armor. We can now ascribe value to what we think is important, decide what kind of collateral we want running our monetary systems, incentivize aligned economic activity, subsidize critical elements, coordinate globally without any intermediaries and design socio economic frameworks for your network states sovereignly.
